
Leadership Training Courses
Divemaster and Assistant Instructor courses can be individual objectives or steps towards becoming an instructor and furthering a career in scuba. In each course student continue to grow their knowledge and diving skills through teaching.

Divemaster
This is the first step into leadership. After completion of this course Divemasters will be asked to help with Open Water classes and Checkout Dives both as shore support and taking students out on second day dives.
As a divemaster you have the opportunity to grow as a diver and a leader within the dive industry.
Becoming a divemaster can also lead to career opportunities at dive resorts or moving further into leadership with Assistant Instructor training.
Requirements
-Minimum age 18 yrs old
-Medical questionnaire
Prerequisite
Advanced OW Level 3
20 logged dives
DRAM Rescue Diver
Certified in First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen provider
Class Length: 4 weekends
Cost: $400 includes classroom training, and certification upon completion

Assistant Instructor
Assistant Instructor certification is the second step in the leadership training. A combination of classroom, pool and open water are used in training. AI requires some teaching internship which can be done locally with our instructors.
After completion divers can assist with open water diver classroom and pool teaching
Requirements & Prerequisite
-18yrs or oldler
-Medical questionnaire
-Complete Divemaster Training or approved equivalent level from a recognized agency
-Minimum of 40 dives including experience in Night, Navigation, Deep (Beyond 60 feet) Advanced and Search and Recovery Diving.
-First Aid and CPR and Oxygen Provider
-Participate in a teaching internship
Class Length: Two weekends
Cost: $450 includes classroom training, and certification upon completion

Instructor
This is the third phase in leadership training. Instructor Certification allows the individual to teach Scuba students. SEI Instructors must uphold the Scuba Educators standards and always promote safe diving and teachings.
Requirements & Prerequisite
-18yrs or older
-Have at least one year of diving experience since your entry level certification
-Medical exam with a physician's approval
-60 logged dives
-Completed Requirements for DM and AI
-Proof of teaching experience, pool. classroom and open water dives
-Certified in First Aid, CPR and Oxygen Provider
-Must hold personal Scuba Liability Insurance
